GeoPortal

The Ontario Realty Corporation’s GeoPortal is a software application designed to help our clients make quick and informed business decisions about ministry assets and program effectiveness. It helps users quickly and easily access all their information, regardless of the system/database they are stored in.

It works by organizing and linking statistical and tabular data, documents, web content and multi-media information to geographic features on a map. It also allows clients to map their business data so they can see trends and patterns (providing a picture that words and numbers cannot show.) It is a powerful information publishing and access tool that can be used to help organizations communicate more effectively.

The Ontario Realty Corporation’s geo-database powers the GeoPortal mapping component and has one of the most comprehensive databases in the province. It leverages data from Land Information Ontario, Teranet Inc., DMTI, MPAC and the Federal Government. It includes high resolution aerial and satellite imagery for many areas of the province. It allows the client’s mapping and business data to be incorporated into Ontario Realty Corporation's geo-database, immediately providing a complete and powerful spatial view.
