Accessibility
The Ontario Realty Corporation, as both an employer and a service provider, has a responsibility to improve the accessibility of the built environment we manage. Our customer focus reminds us that buildings and facilities exist solely to accommodate people − they must be welcoming and inclusive for everybody.
Our professionals in environment, heritage, and facilities planning are working together to develop integrated strategies to enhance the government’s real estate portfolio. The ORC is engaged in a campaign to raise awareness of accessibility issues in the built environment. Progressive attitudes and improved understanding will help us improve the accessibility of the government’s real estate portfolio. We are continually working toward focused operational practices that improve access to the properties we manage now and incorporate universal design principles in new construction.
