Contractor Performance Program


Purpose

  • Establish a procedure to support quality based selection (QBS) through a standard approach using selection and performance criteria that leverage past performance as one of many components to Suppliers’ obtaining future contract opportunities with ORC.
  • Evaluate a Supplier's performance against the specific requirements of a contract or deliverable after the services and/or products are delivered.
  • Foster a business culture of continuous improvement by establishing clear expectations and benchmarks that would benefit both the contracting community and the ORC.
  • Outline the framework and strategic direction for the Supplier Performance Operating Procedures.

Objective

High-performing Suppliers will be able to secure more business opportunities based on favourable performance reports, as past performance will now be taken into account in the sourcing process. Suppliers committed to client satisfaction will also benefit by being able to identify those aspects of their performance requiring improvement and monitor performance trends over the longer term. By providing the best-performing Suppliers with more business opportunities, the ORC is better able to meet its obligations and enhance overall customer service to our clients.

Participation and continuous communication between all parties during performance monitoring and reporting will encourage an environment of continuous co-operation between Suppliers and the ORC during the term of a contract.
