ORC pilots their new Online Sourcing, Contract and Vendor Management system: E-Sourcing

March 2010 - ORC has implemented SAP E-Sourcing 5.1 as a free electronic sourcing, contracting and vendor management system. E-Sourcing will supplement the current Biddingo system and provide more robust sourcing processes allowing for more complex sourcing to be initiated and conducted Online. In addition to its sourcing capabilities, E-Sourcing provides contract management functionality that will allow for online negotiation of contracts. The vendor portal will allow for effective information sharing between ORC and its vendors. All of the online features will serve to streamline the Sourcing, Contracting and Vendor Management processes.

ORC launches new online prequalification process

July 2009 - ORC is pleased to present new streamlined, online prequalification forms to manage its Vendors of Record (VORs). Suppliers can now access and complete the newly released pre-qualification form online at www.biddingo.com/orc. ORC evaluates the submissions and uses the VOR database to invite qualified suppliers to bid on opportunities. ORC recognizes the value of partnering with Biddingo.com in providing this valuable tool to make the pre-qualification process fast and simple with a user-friendly, step-by-step process for contractors, consultants and other suppliers of goods and services.

ORC's replacement of paper-based forms will assist vendors in gathering and entering their information into a centralized database and it allows the ORC to more easily identify and determine a vendor’s capacity, experience, and competence. Biddingo.com’s engine allows for an environmentally friendly, paperless process that automatically notifies suppliers of ORC bid opportunities - a seamless and simplified process from start to finish.

ORC awards property and land management contract to CB Richard Ellis

June 2009 – ORC has selected CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), a top-ranked global commercial real estate firm, to provide property and land management services for the Ontario government’s real estate portfolio.

CBRE was the successful bidder selected from an extensive public procurement process.

CBRE will provide property and land management services to approximately 40 million square feet (3.7 million square metres) of space in approximately two thousand buildings and 50 thousand acres (20,000 hectares). CBRE will engage thousands of Ontario workers and hundreds of Ontario businesses for the provision of products and services to meet the real estate needs of the Ontario government.

Operations will transfer to CBRE on October 1, 2009 in ORC’s Central and Southwest regions and April 1, 2010 in ORC’s North and East regions.
