Where can I forward my resume?

Please submit your resume to the ORC Human Resources Department via the following (unless the recruiting ad suggests otherwise):

Ontario Realty Corporation
Human Resources Department
1 Dundas Street West, Suite 2000
Toronto, ON M5G 2L5
E-mail: resumes@ontariorealty.ca (preferred method)
Fax: (416) 325-4227

Is there a particular format I should use when submitting my resume?

Yes. Please submit your resume in MS Word. Additionally, when e-mailing your resume (resumes@ontariorealty.ca) please be certain to note the "File Number" in the subject line of your e-mail.

What happens to my resume after I submit it?

ORC Human Resources will receive your resume. If you are applying to a specific file number, your resume will be forwarded to the HR Manager responsible for the recruitment for that position, and depending on qualifications, to the Hiring Manager.

If you are submitting a general resume, it will be kept on file for six months.

Any resumes submitted to a recruitment agency will be reviewed by the recruiter and those with the appropriate skills/qualifications (as determined by the agency) will be presented as a short list to ORC.

Should I mail a copy of my resume if I have already submitted it via email or fax?

A resume submitted via e-mail is sufficient. You may resubmit your resume if you have recently updated your resume and wish to provide the new version, or if you want to apply for another open position. When sending us an updated resume, please note this in the body of your cover letter.

When will I hear back from ORC?

You will receive confirmation via e-mail that your resume was received if sent to our resumes@ontariorealty.ca address. We do not confirm applications sent via fax or mail.

The review process takes time and we appreciate your patience. Due to the high volume of applications, you will be contacted only if you are selected for an interview. We encourage you to visit our Web site www.ontariorealty.ca regularly to view the job listings.

If a job was posted a few weeks ago and remains on the ORC Web site, is it really still open?

We update the job postings on a regular basis. If a position is listed on our Web site, it is considered open, though it is possible that it may be at the final interview stage. Some jobs take longer to fill than others and thus are open for a longer period of time. We do not have closing dates for applications to be received.

Files are closed when the position has been filled. The ORC reserves the right to withdraw a job at anytime as a result of changing business requirements.

Can I submit a general resume/application?

Yes. General resume submissions should be sent to resumes@ontariorealty.ca and will be kept on file for six months.

I am a recruitment agency and I would like to provide ORC with my services. What should I do?

ORC has established a Vendor of Record for   recruitment services for regular full-time positions.   When the Vendor of Record List comes up for renewal, the "Request For Proposals" will be posted on Merx (www.merx.com).

For agencies that offer "temporary" recruitment services, the agency may submit its information through to resumes@ontariorealty.ca, and we will keep the information on file for consideration against our requirements.  We ask that you refrain from making requests via telephone.

ORC does not accept or acknowledge unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies.
